CCBC will kick off its 30th anniversary celebration with a suite of programs in Shanghai and Beijing on January 9 and 10, 2008. We are honored to have China’s Commerce Minister BO Xilai and Canada’s International Trade Minister David Emerson as our guests of honor and keynote speakers at the Beijing gala dinner on the 10th. We are also expecting the mayor of Chengdu to speak at the luncheon in Beijing and the vice-mayor of Shanghai at the luncheon in Shanghai.
This is a truly exceptional opportunity to highlight your company’s presence in China and to deepen key business relationships. We look forward to seeing you at this exciting event in Beijing and Shanghai, and we thank you for your continued support. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
The Canada China Business Council (CCBC) Beijing & Shanghai Chapters are in essence the Canadian chamber of commerce in both cities. We are a non-profit, member-based business platform whose broad objective is to develop strong and diverse Sino-Canadian commercial relations in both cities. Operationally, the CCBC chapters work towards this objective by providing our members with the market knowledge and network that will maximize their success in China.
With over 150 Canadian and Chinese companies and another 150 individual members in the CCBC chapters, our members range from small and medium sized enterprises to large multinational companies, representing a diversity of sectors including financial and investment services, legal services, information and communication technology, education, manufacturing, construction, transportation, mining and energy. The CCBC Chapter is a vibrant, innovative and growing business community.
To strengthen our members’ chances of success in China, the CCBC Chapter offers additional personal assistance which will enable your business to adapt to an evolving environment quickly and easily. We also recognize the importance of community involvement and hold a handful of events every year with a view to building community links and raising the awareness of corporate social responsibility.
The CCBC chapters are thus both a platform for business success and a place for community building. In time we are confident that it will emerge one of the most celebrated foreign business organizations in China. With the Canadian community expanding daily, we are also expecting to grow in both influence and size in the years ahead. |
